MY REFLECTIONS

1. Learning
It is a process which is basically based on acquiring information to develop a skill, to solve a problem and come out with a specific result to face life.

2. Teaching
Teaching is the process of giving instruction to a person or a group of people to make them understand or acquire new information.

3. Language
It is a group of codes of different types to communicate people´s ideas, feelings, needs, etc.

4. Roles that students are expected to assume in my classroom
The basic role that a student assume in my classroom is to follow instructions and learn a new language (English)

5. My role in the classroom
My role as a teacher in the classroom is creating an appropriate environment to make students learn a new language. This situation implies giving right instructions, communicate with them in a very effective way and manage their behavior in order to take advantage of my and their time.

6. Qualities of a good teacher
-Good instructor
-Has a good mood
-has a very effective classroom management
-has a very positive relationship with his/her students
-respectful all the time with everybody

7. Kinds of interactions which occur in my classroom
Teacher-student, student-teacher, student-student, student-external factors (distracters outside the classroom such as birds, people around it and any other possible factor)

8. The most rewarding aspect of teaching
You can change the life of a student just with your instruction.

9. Kinds of students that do best in my classroom
-Students that are willing to participate in class most of the time.
- Students that follow instruction and know when to do and how to do their tasks.
-Students that are really respectful with the teacher and their classmates.

10. An appropriate training for language teachers in our context
Teachers who are being trained as teachers of a foreign language need a demanding training. This implies that they must be taught in a correct and effective way.

11. Support for professional development in the place I work or I am familiar with.
Actually there is a positive support for professional development in the place I work. This support is based on constant meetings that lead us as teachers how to control and develop our classes.

12. The best ways to learn a language

-have a strong motivation.
-probably live in a native environment where that language is used

13. Dialect of English that should be taught
I think that there is no a specific dialect to be taught due to the fact that there are many variations among them. What teacher should do is to teach a Standard English to give their students a tool that is useful for any country.

14. Changes that I would do in my own practice
I would like to improve my classroom management, and remember all the time that there are rules to be followed by them and by me.
